Happy New Year

Confusion
Happy New Year!  Can you believe it...8 years since the new millennium?  We were worried about 2000 wrecking the computer systems and sending the world into chaos and disorder.  Well, it has crept up on us, but I think the world is in chaos and disorder, and not because of computer problems.  People are violent, self-serving, and/or out of control.  And, I don't mean just "bad" people.

Isaiah 13:11
I will punish the world for its evil, the wicked for their sins. I will put an end to the arrogance of the haughty and will humble the pride of the ruthless.

The Iowa caucus is upon us today.  Let us be mindful that God will raise up the man, or woman, He has in mind for our next presidency.  I truly believe President Bush was a part of His master plan.  God's timing isn't our own and it seems our time is limited in this current world.  I hear people saying all the time, "Oh people have been saying the Lord is coming back ever since he left."  Yes, that is so, and today is closer to "The Coming" than yesterday.  Let us pray for divine wisdom in making our decision as to whom God wants in the Presidential position this next term.  It is a privilege to be able to vote.

Daniel 2:21
He changes times and seasons; he sets up kings and deposes them. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning.

I miss my Momma today.  She was extremely "into" God's word and I really enjoyed listening to her.  She was a fantastic Bible teacher.  She loved the Lord and is in His presence today!  Wow!  Let us resolve to move back into a closer relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and God the Father for we know not the hour of His return, and we need to be about His business.  When I was a GA, I learned a little song, "As you go about, as you go.  Take the Name of Him that loves you so. By His power and command, do disciple every land. As you go about, as you go (unknown)."

2 Peter 2:20
If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning.
